I met a cool company at the 2nd NYC Vegetarian Food Festival today named “Way Better Snacks”. Visit them at gowaybetter.com or stop by the festival today or March 3rd (final day of show). This company has new chip varieties for you to try plus an interesting website with nutrition factoids. Sold at over 4,000 locations in the US and Canada, you can benefit from the energizing nutrition in these chips with a simple shopping trip. Use their store locator to find out where to buy. I tried the blue corn tortilla chips which contain chia seeds and lots of other nutrient-rich, unprocessed ingredients. In my humble opinion, school districts ought to serve quality snacks like these. But will schools invest? It’s a long shot, but it would be a smart thing to do (However, schools might wash their hands of the issue and claim nutrition decisions should fall to parents). I have a high opinion of companies who use sprouted ingredients in their products and Way Better fits this description. I’m no expert, but I can imagine sprouted ingredients being good for brain power and, therefore, for students. Kids in America need to eat higher quality foods compared to what they’re consuming now. Period.
