Laundry hampers with ventilation

It’s important for hampers to have ventilation. The example below shows one you can hang over your door. I have 2 of these. I think my brand was Sunbeam(?), but Amazon has it listed under Pro-Mart.  For some reason, the image here shows a pinkish back that resembles fleece,  but I think it’s just a weird image flaw. There’s no pink back on mine – it’s the same vented mesh all over. I got mine at a local hardware store.  These are identical to those pop-up hampers, but with a flatter back and a strap for hanging.

5 Ways To Be More Sustainable With Your Clothing

It is really important that you make sustainable choices in your life because the environment isn’t doing that well at the moment. These choices aren’t just beneficial for the environment but they can also help you save a lot of money.Sustainable Garment

Clothing is one big aspect of consumption these days and there are a lot of great ways to be sustainable and trendy at the same time. Here are five of the best ways you should be considering.

1. Support Local Designers

One of the biggest reasons why clothing has a big impact on nature is the fact that it is transported from one place to another. You can decrease this impact by supporting your local designers and clothing stores.

This can guarantee that the clothing doesn’t need to travel from the other side of the world.

2. Tweak Your Clothes

Instead of opting to buy new clothes you should first think about options to tweak them. You can bring a lot of new life to old clothing by making some small minor changes. For instance, you can even change the color of your clothes by washing them in the washing machine with a specialist color dye.

You can also make use of your old clothing by turning it into something else. For example, your old skirt can turn into a really lovely bag. This can be a really fun thing to do and it will help you be more eco-friendly.

3. Wash Them In Eco-Friendly Ways

You can also be more sustainable with your clothing if you put some effort into the way you wash them. The key is to always wash a full load of clothes. You should also try to wash in lower degrees as this is better for nature. You can also save nature by using organic washing liquids that don’t have extra-added chemicals in them.

4. Buy Wholesale

Wholesale clothing is also a really good way to be more sustainable. You get to buy directly from the wholesaler and this can bring down the impact on the environment.

Also if you buy wholesale clothing at All Stores, for instance, you can do it online and online shopping is a lot greener option than going to the store.

So if you have the opportunity always check out the wholesale option and make sure that you buy more at any one time. This will ensure you don’t keep buying all the time and makes sure you only get the items you really need.

5. Recycle Old Clothes

When you want to get rid off an item you should always recycle it instead of just discarding it. This is the case with clothes that might be worn out as well. A great option is to sell your old clothes that are still in a good condition on websites such as eBay.

If you want you should also consider giving your old items to charity. This is a great way to help people in need and will ensure your clothes don’t become a strain on nature. Check for instance Red Cross website for more information.
